SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In 1952 we started our high school life with forty-three girls and forty-five boys. The following oHicers were elected to guide us on our journey: president, james Kelly, vice presi- dent, Bill Stephens, and secretary-treasurer, Marilyn Dillon. Mr. Olin and Mr. Koenig served as our advisors during the year. VVe held our Hrst class party on january 29. By the end of the year we had gained the necessary confidence to carry us into our sophomore year. As sophomores, we chose Nancy Ellis, presidentg David Krebs, vice president, Ruth Roszman, secretary, and Nancy Whalen, treasurer. The big event of the year occurred in january when we selected our class rings under the supervision of Mr. Criner, Mr. Shafer, and Mr. Fleeman. On january 21, our first taste of acting came when we presented Billy's First Date at the Tri-Masque Play Festival, Later in the year we had a hard-times party. Then we became juniors. VVe are greatly indebted to Mrs. Caves and Miss Rakestraw for their unfailing services during this year. Under their leadership we sold refreshments at the football and basketball games. To lead our class in 1954, we chose Robert Graham, president, james Kelly, vice presidentgaand Corina Rhoden, secretary-treasurer. Our class party was held on November 3, with a large attendance. The junior Class Play, The Form Divine, was presented on November 20 under the direction of Mr. Donald Olin. The final and biggest event of our junior year was the Ir.-Sr. Prom. We honored the seniors with this farewell evening of entertainment on May 21. Soon the Class of '55 was on the last rung of the ladder in their high school career. Our representatives for the year were: president, Tom ,I-Ienigeg vice president, joan Worlineg secretary, Ferne Clingerg and treasurer, Nancy Whalen. Mr. Hood and Mr. Borton were our helpful advisors during the year. On November 23 we held our class party. Our class play, The Girl in the Rain, directed by Mr. Kenneth Kohn, was 'presented on April 15. On May 20 we seniors were honored at the jr.-Sr. Prom given for our pleasure by the juniors. VVith graduation on May 27, the class of '55, consisting of eighty-three members, ended its history at U.S.I-I.S., and stepped out into the world to make its place among men of the future.

I, Nancy Ellis, will the idea of redecorating and furnishing the annual room with radio, coke machine, etc. to Elizabeth Farnholtz. I, Beverly Heffellinger, will my captivating laugh to Dorothy Helfelfinger. I, Carolann Herring, will my ability to 'get Tom Roszman in the whistle dance to a girl who is at least a foot taller than I am. I, IoAnne Hetzner, will to Shirley Clark, my bad habit of getting oil paint all over my clothes.
