CLASS GF 1962 The year was extraordinary because it was ours. It was good because we lived it. Our only senior year knew many things: funny things- extraordinary and very, very funny because we were a part of them and we can call them ours, tough things- tough because we were determined to get through them and sometimes tough because we didn't care, personal and lonely things- things we didn't let many people know about, things not planned on the curriculum nor scheduled in our activities. S yrt k 24 We were athletes and cheerleaders, people who cheer, quiet people, dancers and readers, politicians, anarchists, nuts and wet blankets, artists, intellectuals, and occasionally good students. We were kids and at times were very, very grown-up. We were us. Sometimes we loaned lunch tickets. More often, we borrowed them. Occasionally we paid them back. Sometimes we didnit know what was going on. Usually, it didn't matter. Sometimes we wished we were dead, and once in a while we had a vision of being alive. These things were the substance of our year- - a year extraordinary because it was ours.
