CLASS PROPHECY It is an evening in January in the year 1963. The Inaugural Ball of Mr. James G. Greiner, the newly elected Governor of Pennsylvania, has just begun. The Governor and his party are taking their places of honor. Standing near the Governor are the Lieutenant Governor, Mr. Robert Stitzel, and Mr. Greineris campaign manager, Mr. Fred Kurtz. Also in the Governor's party are Miss Virginia Horst, the Super- intendent of Public Instruction, and Mr. John Myer, the head of the Department of Highways. Miss Kathryn Buckwalter and Miss Shirley Hess, the Governor's two capable secretaries, are nearby, as are Miss Dolores Yunginger and Miss Sara Sweigart, the secretaries of the Lieu- tenant Governor. Miss Esta Lois Leaman, the Governor's private nurse, is also present. Meanwhile some of the guests are arriving. One of the first to arrive is Miss Nancy Hoover, the artist who has just been widely acclaimed both in the United States and abroad. Soon Mr. Robert Albright, Mr. Kenneth Horst, Mr. Robert Hartranft, and Mr. Leslie Broomall enter together. These four have been working for the United States Government in developing a space ship which could be used in interplanetary travel. Just then the orchestra, conducted by Mr. Henry Loewen, begins to play. The first number includes a solo by the famous instrument- alist, Miss Mary Ann Hillegass. Everyone comments on Miss Hille- gass's gown, which was designed by Miss Marian Groff, the famous fashion designer, who is also present at the ball. On looking over the company which is assembled here, it seems that the Class of 1950 of Upper Leacock High School is well represented. A, I:18l
