The 1982 Football Team accomplished as Coach Paul Bristow much or more than any NCL II team in Coach Craig Kinsel- history. This team was the first NCL II team to win a Class A play-off game when they defeated the Legendary ' Ferndale Wildcats 20-14 in Ferndale. In doing so the Cougars finished in 2nd place in the North Coast Section despite ,, .--Q '-'2,. . losing to the Menlo Knights who were - -iq . In league the Cougars stomped a good To- males team 19-0 and destroyed another strong opponent, Calistoga, 27-9. The team was , aww extremely PHYSICAL and often intimi- ff M dated teams with its toughness. This , team won because they liked to hit peo- ple and loved playing the game.
