In her Junior year Kay left for Nuremberg, Germany. There, she was on the yearbook staff, to ' or Senior Class Secretary, a member of the Glee Club, and was elected the National Hon Society. We were all very happy to welcome Kay back with us in . February of this year. Bart Hill, as everyone knows, has done a wonderful job this year in athletics. He has been individual high scorer all the sea- son, but on top of that, he has done a remarkable job in winning the Regional and State Schoolboy Foul Shooting Championship. By winning this championship, he has brought home the Bud Cornish Memorial Trophy and a gold watch. He accomplished these things by dunking 45 out of 50 tries at Portland Y. M.C.A. Barton is not one to give up too easily or get discouraged. As he came to the shooting line, he took his typical pose, and missed the first shot. This didn't bother him, so he got hold of himself and flipped in the next 19! He missed numbers 20, 25, and 26. The two straight missed didn 't ruffle him either. He regained his touch and shooting rhythm, won 20, missed no. 47, then dunked his final three! Big Bart returns to Portland, March 20. He'll receive from the Gannet Company a warm-up jacket designating his state title foul shooting feat, then take off with a reporter and photographer for Boston Garden and the New England Schoolboy Basketball Tourney that evening and the next two nights. We here at Bingham High are very proud, and want to con- gratulate hirn on his marvelous feat. We believe that the towns- people feel the same way. He has certainly deserved this trophy. We wish him the best of luck in the future. Keith Davis '58
