Q Qecfica tion 770111 Qra Benfica tion The PEACOCK of 1955 is respectfully ded- icated to the late Nora Graf, who through her generous grant and who in memory of her daughter, has made possible the building of the Zinita B. Graf Dormitory for Women, Mrs. Nora Graf and her daughter, Zinita, both attended Upper Iowa University. Mrs. Graf remained in Fayette and served her college and community faithfully until her death in 1954. Zinita continued her studies in Boston, later distinguishing herself in the acting profession with the well known Devereau Players. Student Council The Student Council at Upper Iowa functions i.n an advisory and administrative capacity. Members are elected by their respective classes and hold meetings twice monthly. The Council sponsors and supervises such campus activities as Scrap Day, Campus Clean Up Day and other special all-college events that occur during the year. Beck LeHermen's Club D The Upper Iowa L.ettermen's Club consists of students who are awarded athletic letters as a result of participation in the college athletic program of Upper Iowa. Sports for which athletic letters are awarded are football, basketball, base- ball, track, tennis and golf. The Collegian has been serving the students of Upper Iowa by publishing coming events for the student's general information. The Collegian is staffed entirely by the students who volunteer their help gratis. Plans for the 1955-1956 school year have been made to publish the Collegian on a weekly basis.
