A stiff ' ll D V' - 'fgx Q JUNIOR YEAR The day Hnally arrrved when the members of the class were consrdered upper classmen and treated as such They had much more to say about school actn 1t1es and were proud of xt The realrzatlon came that they were ln school to pre pare themselyes for the future and they became more serlous Class Officers for the umor year were Sadovv Presldent M1chaelLenhardt VICC PICSI dent osephme Sadosy Secretary Frances Mllxll las Treasurer Councrl Members were Mary Hoaern Elmer South Rrchard Rehl and Mllhcent Farmer Class Advisers were Mr Kauffman for the boys and Mlss Anna Plppel for the gurls Mrss Mcllhenny left her POSIIIOH as gym rn structor and rt was filled by Mrss Byrne lht umor Glrls served as ushers in the Senlor Play The Juniors were hosts to the Seniors at the Jun lor Senror Prom Many Jumors appeared ln the Operetta grven SENIOR YEAR At last we were the Senlor Class The right to be proud of the highest rank 1n the hrgh school now belonged to us as lf had belonged to Sen 1ors before Some of the class members wall go on to college some wlll enter the Armed Ser vrces and some wrll get Jobs suxted to thexr school trammg all maltmg good use of thelr educatron Class Officers for the Senior year were Herb Cavano Presrdent M1chaelLenhardt Vrce Presr dent Frances Mrkulas Treasurer and Mary Hoaern Secretary Councll Nlembers were Richard Rehl Ralph McKr11ght Leola Dancer and Ruth Klxnk The Advisers were Mr Kauffman for the boys and Mlss Anna Prppel for the girls Agam our class went over the top rn the Maga zme Campalgn They then sold 401 boxes of Christmas cards and had calls for more but be cause of war conditions we were unable to get another shrpment A very successful Bond Rally w as put on by the Scnrors VVe sponsored a Senror Dance which w as oyerwhelmmgly successful sm cially as well as financlally The play selected for the umor Senior Frolrc was Of All Thmgs I addltlon to the play the auditorium program ln cluded a yarlety show All enjoyed the enter tamment and then proceeded to Pennyland to have a jolly txme spending their pennies
