After the Christmas Tournament at Springfield High School, the Cards came back strong. They won their first five league games but lost to Jenkintown by four points on the victor's court. The Cards played well, but Jenkintown has not lost a game on their court in six years. The Cards made u for this loss P -N by scoring 96 points to defeat The last game of the season turned into a champion- ship game with Jenkintown and the Cards each having one loss. Jenkintown, however, proved to be no match for the Cards. The Cards then went into the playoffs for the district, We all hope they will have good luck and put on a fine showing for good old U.D. REDBIRDS WIN CHAMPIONSHIP J. Magyar, A. Fad, J. Lusska, R. Webb, W. Hibschman, R. Cottom, jump Ball: Co-Captains P. Herder, J. Brown, R. Jacobs. The Upper Dublin Senior High basketball team won its second championship in a row this year. However, this year it was in a different league, the Inter-County League. Their league record was eleven wins and one loss. Outside of the league, their record was four wins and five losses. The Cards came in second in the Oreland Lions' Basketball Tournament, losing to Am- bler. One reason for the success of the Cards was the coaching of Paul Jones. He planned a difficult sched- ule before the league began so that the Cards would have the needed experience for their league games. The Cards proved they had it by defeating some good ball teams. .Ili 'TUX Ooph! Come on, Ball Way to go, Jim! Get it, Percy!

Fad. Coach: Mr. Cunningham. 4 The Senior High J.V. basketball team equaled the varsity by winning the mythical LV. Championship. Their record was even better than that of the varsity in the league. They won 12 games and lost none. No team even came close to outscoring the I.V. Last year they won the mythical championship al- though it was in a different league. These boys present promise for next year's varsity team. Outside of winning 12 out of 12 games in the league, they won 4 and lost 5 outside of the league. The j.V.'s under Andrew Cunningham practice the same system as the varsity. The coaches use the same system so that every year the boys can pro- gress into better ballplayers. Mr. Cunningham can also look forward to next year when he will receive boys from the junior high, who also won the title in their league. We wish good luck to the boys who remain on the I.V.'s next year and to those who will be playing with the varsity.
