UNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL TEAM This year the junior High Basketball Team was not in a league, but they played teams of equal ability. The Varsity won two out of their seven games. They lost the five other games by a few points each. Losing these games by such a small margin proved that the junior High had undiminishing spirit and fight. The scores for the Varsity were Kay Schroeder with sixty-one, Beth Riddle with fifty, Patty Houston with forty-four, and Ginny Riddle with twelve. The Iunior Varsity won five out of their seven games. They were more successful than the Varsity. Coach: Mrs. Rocchino Get that goal! Captain: Sally Sabold Several schools, including Upper Dublin, in Mont- gomery County formed a new league, the Inter-County League. At the beginning of the season the team had dim hopes of becoming Champions, but with constant effort and improvement they reached their goal. They became Inter-County Champions with a seven and one season. The only loss of the season was to Springfield. To the Cardinalettes it was the last game they were going to lose. The thriller of the season was the Pennridge game. The score was close during the whole game, but Upper Dublin came through, winning on a foul shot 35 to 34. The scorers for the Varsity are Barbara Weikel with one hundred and one, Sally Sabold with 99, Sue Weikel with 63, Lynn Davis with 38, Errnette Kallenbach with 37, and Sally Hallowell with 30. The junior Varsity were also Champs with a six and one season. The high scorers were McCullough 67, Birchler 48, and Stuart with 35 points.
