Business And Work Study Programs Under the supervision of Mr. Wiest, Kathy Moore completes a problem with the use of an adding machine. The Business Department offers many courses valu- able to students who are planning a career in business. These include courses in typing and stenography, busi- ness law, business machines, and office procedures. The Distributive Education program is a valuable help to students who plan to enter the world of retail sales. Under this plan, the students attend school for part of the day and work for part of the day. Somewhat similar to Distributive Education is the Work Study program which, this year, includes about eighty students. These students are offered practical training in many different areas, including horticulture, waitressing and hairdress- ing. Vo-Tech Schools Upper Darby students have proven themselves cap- able leaders in county Vo-Tech schools this year. Sev- eral students have been nominated for various awards and many are taking part in school clubs, such as V.I.C.A. This year's enrollment is 242 students.
