Although this question might not be heard in Upper Darby's clossrooms. it typifies the amount of knowledge held by our mathe- matics department under the direction of Mr. John Diehl. Realizing how important a good foundation in math is. the deportment offers oil phoses of mathematics to students who wish to take advantage of them. The courses offered include: algebra I and II, plain and solid geometry, trigonometry, and odvonced algebra. Arts and Crofts students take a practical mathematics course designed to fit their special needs. Juniors who do not attain a satisfactory level of proficiency in Standard Tests in Arithmetic carry an additional course in Remedial Mathematics during their senior year. Mr. Robert N.
