The Arts and Crafts Curriculum is not a college preparatory course. It is designed for the student who is developing an interest in a particular vocation. The fields of concenf tration offered are Agriculture, Art, Home Economics, lVletal and Vkfood Skills, and Music. The Business Preparation Curriculum pre- pares tbe student for a position in the business world. ln the eleventh and twelfth grades the course becomes specialized and has four divisions: Accounting, General Business, Salesmanship, and Stenographic. Seniors in the Business course may elect Distributive Education. William Brown. XVayne Conrad, Dick Rogers. and Ken Macey at the State Fair, Typing class concentrating on a speed test, Carol Salerno and Joan Rogers get out the morning sheet. 9

Mr. Stevens' second period chemistry class performing an experiment. Preparation for college is offered in two courses: the Academic and the Scientific. The Academic Course prepares for law, the min- istry, teaching, social service, library work, etc.: the Scientific Course prepares for medi- cine, engineering, nursing, laboratory tech- nique, dietetics, architecture, dentistry, etc. These are the only curricula that prepare directly for college. Pupils with high scholas- tic ability and a genuine interest in books are advised to select one of the two College Preparatory Curricula. James Swab demonstrates a theorem in geometry.
