BEHIND the scenes the Maintenance Staff worked diligently to keep our classrooms, cafe- teria, gymnasium, and campus neat and clean. Under the supervision of Mr. Charles W. Butter- worth, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds; Mr. Frank B. Haskell, and Mr. David Lewis, the staff functioned in order to make us comfortoble during school hours. Preparing the gymnasium for athletic events, reconditioning mutilated desks, regulating the temperature of the buildings, and keeping the grounds in good condition constituted only a few of their many invaluable services. When visitors praise our school for its clean, attractive appearance, the credit is due rightly to the Mainte- nance Staff. Pictured at the right from top to bottom: To the right: two members of the maintenance staff fixing an electrical bulb in hall. Center: two workers refinishing desks in the wood shop. Lower right: Mr. Lewis, head custodion, caught at the elevator door by the photographer. Each Did His Part MR. CHARLES BUTTERWORTH
