These young adults were fulfilling college course requirements by prac- tice teaching in their particular field. They both observed and taught, often taking over classes completely in the absence of the regular instructor. The cadets' activities also included working in the attendance office, taking over study halls, and supervising the infirmary. Sometimes they even de- voted extra time to tutoring or speaking to some of UD's clubs. Faculty members, themselves, re- ceived some useful pointers on new methods of teaching from these who aspire to be teachers. The Upper Darby faculty and students extend their sincere thanks to the student teachers for a job well done and hope that they reach their goal to be successful instructors in their chosen profession.
