Reed and Miss Maizie G. Weil to our school and community through their tireless work in dramatics. Guided by these two outstanding teachers. National Thespian Troupe 1000 has earned a distinguished national reputation. Miss Reed and Miss Weil have developed the dramatic program into an educational one with a real place in our high school liberal arts program. Thespians has become o many-sided activity, pro- ducing people skilled in the arts of octing, costume design, makeup, scene design, costume construction, and scene construction. Miss Reed, as dramotic cooch, is always inspired by the trans- formation of new people from greenhorns to dependable standbys. She feels that this experience is worth any agony it may take. Miss Weil finds her greatest satisfaction in seeing the creative- ness of her crew developing right before her eyes at a performance. She is constantly amazed at the ingenuity of her crew members when they make beautiful things, apparently out of nothing. Miss Reed and Miss We l, the OAK honors you for your unselfish dedication in providing students with exciting creative experiences, helping them to appreciate the fine arts, and raising the cultural level of our school ond community. 6
