t tfecwp AavtcU,,,, Mr. Herzog's friendly smile and lively spirit have animated all our class activi- ties—sophomore magazine campaign, parties, dances, checking the senior pictures and gowns, and the problems of a busy senior year. His encourage- ment and guidance have proved inval- uable to our class. In addition to his class activities, Mr. Herzog spent much time instructing the boys in gym and supervising play- ground activities in the school district. We will not soon forget the time, thought, and effort Mr. Herzog de- voted to us and our interests during our senior year. Mr. Herzog is shown at the left in consultation with one of his boys. 25

Ou% acCvC e% c uac Setting a new record for the 100- yard dash, Miss Alice Goodman rushed down the hall between her Spanish classes and the senior office. She then began her daily duties as Spanish teacher, chairman of the service honor roll committee, member of many other faculty committees, and adviser to the class of '52 Always surrounded by a group of students, Aunt Alice enjoyed con- sulting with us or just gossiping about school events. When we look back on our high school days, we will always remember Miss Goodman's friendly manner, her kindness, her fairness, and her enthusiastic pride in our class. Pictured at the right, Miss Goodman cuts a cake at a party with her All- School Show football boys. 24
