SECEETfiEIES Few students ever become well aC' quainted with the school secretaries, but all of us have been called into the office at some time or other. It's easy to overlook the quietly efficient office staff, but not so easy to miss the clank and rattle of mime' ograph and typewriters. These arc the means by which these capable ladies make known to one and all the words of the mighty. Each year they do the seniors a splendid service (for better or for worse) by typing up all the records that must be sent to colleges and employers. They con- stitute an indispensable part of the admini' stration. Top: Helen Hastings, Gloria Hague, Sara Henry. Bottom: Marion Lucas, Esther Schoch, Thelma Malin, Dorothy Cole. CADET TEflCHEES Upper Darby students have been aided immeasurably by the student teachers from various schools in the surrounding area in' eluding the University of Pennsylvania, Drexcl Institute of Technology, and Villa- nova College. This year many more stu- dent teachers were sent to us than in pre- vious years. They perform many duties besides teach- ing. Some of these include marking papers, taking over homeroom duties, and assum- ing full responsibility while the regular teacher is out of the room. These teachers, under the supervision of Miss Mallon, have done very well and all the luck in the world is extended to these student assistants. Sitting: Mr. Philip Weymouth, Miss Evelyn Giangiulio, Miss Naomi Wald- man, Miss Ruth Dietz, Mr. Clayton Weaver. Standing: Mr. Morris Fine- berg, Mr. Raymond Stengel, Mr. Solomon Greenberg, Mr. Philip Radin. Twenty'dght
