counts Every year the Senior High School offers a choice of three courses to its students. A little over one-half of the students take the College Preparatory Course; one-third, the Business Course; and the rest, the Arts and Crafts Course. The College Preparatory Course is divided into two curricula, the Scientific and the Academic. There are usually more hoys taking the Scientific Course of study, while the girls seem to prefer the Academic. The Business Course offers a widely varied program. It is partitioned into four main divisions—Stenographic, Accounting, Salesmanship, and General Business. The Salesmanship Course also includes an elective program of Distributive Education. In that way a student may come to school for half the day and then gather actual working experience in the other half. The Arts and Crafts Course is designed for those students who intend to go from high school into a particular profession or occupation. This course is sub-divided into separate groups—namely, Art, Home Economics, Agriculture, Music, and Wood and Metal skills. Although each course has its own specific subjects, many students also prefer to elect supplementary classes from an entirely different course. ARTS AND CRAFTS My!
