The Academic and Scientific are the only courses offered by Upper Darby which prepare directly for college. Students who have high scholastic standards and a fondness for books are urged to select this curriculum. GENERAL PREPARATION The General Curriculum is designed to meet the needs of practical minded students who wish to have an educaton that will fit them for employment upon graduation. Di- vided into the Cultural and Practical courses, this curriculum gives a broad, cul- tural training, including languages, litera- ture, science, and mathematics. Boys are given the opportunity to become expert at wood-working, metal-working, and draft- ing, and girls are offered a complete study of foods and clothing. - Dot Gefvert, Ruth McCuen, and Bar- bara Nycum illustrate one of the phases of the General Preparation Course. Dean Shull, representing the Scien- tific Course, performs a difficult ex- periment.
