'pms year the residents of Upper Darby Town- ship elected four new members to their school board. Being a board member is an honor which entails the expenditure of a great deal of time and energy donated by a public-spirited citizen in order that we may have the finest education available. The School Board's only reward is the satisfac- tion of having done a job well. We are truly grate- ful for everything they have accomplished, and it is our wish that we may someday repay them. We shall justify the confidence that the. have placed in us by taking our lessons to heart, ai striving with all our might for success. The School Board works in close -mony with Dr. Sampson and Mr. Tyson. Togel . they form the finest administration any school cc ' have. We and our parents have faith in them, trt -ting their ability to maintain and better the high andards set by their predecessors. Seventeen

TH U ABLE EDI CATO U During our years in the Upper Darby Schools, an exceptionally fine man, whom we have come to respect highly, has been working for our benefit. Dr. William C. Sampson, superintendent of the Upper Darby School system, has for the past sixteen years devoted his time and effort to see that we students might have the best possible conditions for study. Few of us have been directly associated with Dr. Sampson, but realising full well that our activities and welfare are foremost in his mind we all wish to thank him and express our gratitude and appreciation.
