KXTS FOKE3IOST I T II E I II IIKMtTS MWS N Ml. STDANCC French is not such a pleasant pastime as Mrs. Dale would make it seem. It's a maze of irregular verbs, and a contorting of your facial features to produce that peculiar sound of » . Ah me! The Greeks were not the only ones that had a word for it. Mr. Dcngler is a busy man,—so busy, in fact, that in order to meet the boys’ glee club, he must do it before school while the home room is gathering. It looks as if the boys are won- dering just how the professor manages to reach that high c” so easily.

IXTEItESTS AXI» WELFARE OF THE STUB MISS MO»»Y MR, Rt MLIY Art for art’s sake! A mouth-filling phrase and a pretty one, but Miss Kingsley, the art teacher, looks just a little critical about the whole busi- ness. None the less, it’s a refreshing moment one finds when he steps into the art room and finds on board and in the atmosphere evidences of culture and refinement. Dr. Wallick is apparently helping a puzzled student crack a very difficult problem in eco- nomics. Teaching economics and social studies these days is enough to drive one distraught. If the world would only make up its mind on what basis it is going to operate, it would be a lot easier for all of us.
