What do teachers do when they are not teaching? Weil, chemistry teachers are kept quite busy preparing materials for experiments, and doing a little experimenting of their own. Mr. Stevens, head of the Science department, weighs some chemicals much as he might wish his students to do. Miss Leaman looks as if she might be trying to worry a three no-trump bid out of a two- diamond hand, and her compatriot, Mrs. Messick, might be noting down the score. As a matter of fact, both are busy keeping the li- brary records straight—a never-ending job— they will assure you.

Not all the savory odors detected about the building come from the cafeteria. Some emanate from cooking class. The boys in the General Course take life and limb in hand whilst they work in the machine shop. This young man looks quite efficient and collected as he operates the drill press. Many students choose the Com- mercial Course with its varied cur- ricula. Some take stenography and typing; others, retail selling; still others, a general business course.
