IN THIS IDEAL SIJKUIKI! AN INTERESTED SCHOOL board can make or break a school system. Upper Darby has always been fortunate to have men and women of high calibre for members of the school board. These members realize the responsibility which they have accepted and have unselfishly given of their time and efforts. These members work together with the superintendent and principal to keep the school system running smoothly. More appreciation should be given to them for their unselfish service.

TYSON Behind the gray stone walls of the Upper Darby High School there is one who for the past twenty-two years has been a symbol of the true spirit of the Purple and the Gold. We will ever remember Mr. John H. Tyson, our principal, for his unselfish labor and genuine interest in all that we did. The efficient Miss Thompson runs off a few tests. Miss Cole gets a record ready to send off to college. Miss Gabriel says most often, I’m sorry, the lines arc busy.” r
