for tke Students . . . STUDENT COUNCIL PL;l ECTING representatives from each home room to serve for the second semester, the student council is experimenting with a new plan to make its membership more democratic and more representative of the student body. The first big job of this new student council was the investigation of monners in school and the forma- tion of committees to try to improve them Whether or not this new idea was considered a success will be determined by the plon adopted for next year's council TRIBUNAL j LTHOUGH many of us have not had much opportunity to become acquainted ' with those who serve on the Tribunal, they are nevertheless a very important part of our student government organization The members of the Tribunal serve the school by trying those cases brought up by the Board of Monitors. It is be- lieved that a student judiciary board will be more fair in its decisions than one composed of faculty members alone. Dr Dame is the faculty adviser of this group. BOARD OF MONITORS I IPPER DARBY students need no introduction to those hard-working student policemen known as monitors whom we hove met so often .in the halls and cafeteria during the lunch periods Miss Mellon capably advises this student- elected group, whose duty it is to make sure that the cafeteria is kept in order and that cur Cede of Rules is enforced at all times Any violation of these rules is re- ported to the tribunal, whose duty it is to try the case and pass sentence if necessary. MONITOR CHAIRMEN First Row—Left to Right: Wise, Granger, Bcckcn- stroter, Collins, Hamilton, Sellers. Second Row: Eis- mann, Cranston, Ettcrs, Morris, Sherman, Buncc.
