As this department is divided into general business, stenography, salesmanship, and accounting, each student is given the opportunity to acquire general knowledge of business ad- ministration and to specialize in Dorothy Smyrl runs off the morning an- nouncement. Practical Arts . . . THE Industrial Arts work of the General Course provides the practical-minded boy with a com- plete study of wood-working, metal-working, and drafting. The excellent facilities of the school allow manual technique in these subjects to be developed to the fullest extent. These facilities include completely equipped wood and metal shops, and a spacious droftmg room The Industrial Arts teochers are competent and well-informed, both as to the practical side and theoretical side of their respective subjects. Many students in other courses elect one or more of these subjects, for a knowledge of the industrial arts is essentiol, es- pecially to the prospective engineer. Normon Brinkman and Jock Rossiter do some planning in Mechanical Drawing. Polishing a table made in Shop. James Boys nicks off a few corner in Wood Shop. Metal Shop takes on a romantic ospcct in this scene.
