The Robe Border denotes friendship, the shield is symbolic of defense, and the forming quadants, is the symbol '4Chi,' CXJ representing Christ. The star stands for aim and aspiration, the lyre and palette for arts, the mace signifing authority, and the seeing eye of God and the open book represent the fact that God will hold us responsible and he expects us to make worthy of our leisure time. The lamp of Truth is the light of knowledge, the laurel leaves for achievement, and the oak leaves symbolic of strength and courage.
