PETERS Principal Another memorable year has slipped into the realm of the immediate past for class- mates and teachers at Upper Columbia Academy. Too late now, for vain regrets con- cerning half-cared for responsibilities, or unaccepted opportunities! But with this sober- ing thought, there is the parallel and much more cheering one, the assurance that we as a school family have shared the joys of growth both spiritual and intellectual during this, another fine school term, the results of which will last throughout life. Definite waymarks have been passed and each has been indicated with lasting joys of youthful fellowship that are now stored up in memories, receptacles as a bulwark against the possible disappointments that must need still come. Friendships for a lifetime that will soon encircle the earth's compass as our family scatters to adult responsibilities, will always be treasured, and will in some instances become the basis for even deeper relationships. It is no unprepared, or unitiated student body that we send forth from this institu- tion of training, but a group of well balanced, fully prepared youth, sufficiently mature for the stresses and strains of today's demands in this modern world to stand its maxi- mum tests and still show forth those sterling traits that mark them as superior and fully prepared for this life, and fit candidates for the world to come. Into you, our students, has gone maximum effort on your part, much sacrifice from parents and the best work of our teachers! This school and the Church rest their cause with you . . . Our Dedicated Youth!
