IN IVIEMCRIAM l ln memory of Nlr. Samuel Warden, we would like to set aside a special portion of our first annual, THE TORCH. Sam was indeed an example of a dedicated Christian. Come rain or shine, he always had a smile and a big HELLO that would brighten the day for anyone. He had a big heart that just bubbled over with love, expecially for the students while working at Upper Bucks Christian School. Sam was a hard-working man that you just couldn't keep down and he always did his best for the Lord Jesus. Not only for the reasons just mentioned, but for reasons too numerous to name, Sam will hold a dear spot in the hearts of all the men, women and children who knew him. 4

DEDICATION The 1974 TORCH is dedicated to one whose leadership has made Upper Bucks Christian School a reality. His vision, practical Christian philosophy, concern for each student, and desire to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ have com- bined to make a school vvhich is Christian in every phase and practice. Since that time, the school has expanded steadily, adding one or two grades a year, taking us through the eighth grade this term, 1973-74. Our student enrollment presently is nearly 200. In 1972, vve expanded our facilities to include the Bible Story Nursery School and Day Care Center, under the direction of -lVlrs. Florence Shaffer. This added another 20 to 25 students to our school and increased our ability to meet the needs of the families in our community. Today we have ten full time and four part time faculty members. Our future plans call for expansion through the full Senior High program. Throughout our history we have strived to maintain high academic standards with the foundation of Biblical truth and principles. The truth of God's Word provides guidance for the classroom - and life as vvell. 5
