Mack and Mabel Mack and Mabel. the story of Mack Sennett’s Hollywood, was presented by the Upper Arlington High School music departments February 17 through 21. Mr. Jack Woodruff produced the show, with Jim Shewalter directing the acting and Mr. Robert Cinther directing the orchestra. Miss Diane Woodruff choreographed the show. Mack and Mabel was a double-cast production, with leads Tim Kimes and Mary-Ruth Clarke appearing on Wednesday and Friday, and Doug Berger and Kathy McLinn appearing on Thursday and Saturday. The orchestra studies the score during dress rehearsal. Bob Grogan. Tim Bennett, Neil Moore, and Bryan Blechler tell Kathy McLinn how much they miss her. 26

Academic Awards Assembly, Honors Night, The annual Academic Awards assembly was held May 19 and over twenty-five scholarships and awards were presented. Awards were given for scholastic achievement, athletics, superior talent in language and home ecnomics, and various community projects. RIGHT: Pella Pheneger receives a certificate from Mr. Shelby for being awarded the Betty Crocker Search for Leadership Award. FAR RIGHT: Senior Ann Wolford shakes Mr. Shelby’s hand after being named the recipient of the McCullough Award for the most outstanding senior. She was chosen by a faculty committee. BELOW: Dr. James Mason, president of the Upper Arlington Booster Ciub, expresses congratulations to Wendy Johnson after receiving the Dick Larkins Sports Award for best female athlete.
