Sire Hotcher am) Mori fr«y discover o world ot micro-organisms through their b o ogy lab worl to apply the knowledge we have learned Walking down one of the science corridors at UAHS this year, a visitor could see biology students peering at tiny living organisms through microscopes, chemistry students analyzing complex molecular compounds, or oviation students reodmg navigation maps ond instruments. In biology classes, plant ond animal life of most minute and most gigantic size wore studied, while in chemistry, students were able to observe the chemical phenomena about which they had studied. The puzzling but exciting why's and how's of our physical universe became vital and important to physics students. Matter, energy, ond the transformations of energy were onalyzed ond explained. For the first time, a ground course in aviation was offered at Arlington. The course, which included study of pre-flight, course plotting, ond meteorology, provided future aviators with the opportunity to take the fAA examination This new course was an interesting addition to the curriculum designed to help students at UAHS explore the scientific and technical ospects of our world.
