 According to the ancient Chinese proverb. “A JOURNEY OF 1,000 MILES MUST BEGIN WITH A SINGLE STEP ” John Fitzgerald Kennedy As this year closes, we of the graduating class of 1966 have each completed, with the aid and guidance of our parents and teachers, a single step in a personal journey which will take us all in different directions. With this step, which we began as sophomores, we have made progress in our search for knowledge; we have gained new responsibilities from our active participation in school activities; we have developed loyalty and sportsmanship by supporting our teams; we have decorated for dances, sung in the choir, joined clubs, made touchdowns, worked in the office, and applied to colleges; finally, we have created wonderful memories. Utilizing all that we have gained thus far. we will move forward from this point, slowly at first, but more confidently with each successive step. We will, however, never forget our first step. Let us now review the record of that step.
