Basketlmll was first in the lime light and a very, interesting in- tramural program was carried out. The Marble- head team Anally won [he competition, nosing out the Rangers by a small score then, to pop off the season defeated Howard College in Birmingham 38-34. The Sewanee colle Jatu [earn alsu had a good season, 1 defeated once by Vanderbalt, they came back and defeated Vanderhilt in the second game, in the Sewanee gyrn. The intramural track meet was very successful and there was much skill displayed, especially by Roton- do, who wot) the meet and by Strcichcr, Kunecki and IVyor, whu razsktd ncut in that order. Many prac- tice meets were alsin held with Sewanee Military Academy, -St. Andrew ' s and Baylor, in which the Se- wanee team made :i fiiu- showing. El. C. Murray took the honors in the swimming meet with Mc- Clelland, and Ritfmido close ljehind. In the boding tournament the Sewanee champions from the heavy- weight down were: Jackson, I.. ]■ ' .., Midgett, S L O., McDonald, T. }• ' .., MacDnnald, J-, and Seat. Bailej E.
