As a result a dormitory system has been built up that compares favorably with those of other institutions. Perhaps the most distinctive feature of this system is the matrons who create an home-like atmosphere of social dignity that plays a large part in the development of the Sewanee student. Too much cannot be said in praise of these ladies, whose ministrations to our spiritual and often to our physical needs, symbolize home to us during our stay at Sewanee. ..(, J
