In the laboratories and lecture rooms, principles of industrial electricity and mechanics are studied and demonstrated to give students greater knowledge of motors and machines which play a great part in the world of today.

In the first year work is begun by studying clothing selection and construction. In the second year, each student is required to take an advanced clothing course. Other work is elective and may include courses in applied dress design, children ' s ciothing, clothing eco- nomics, clothing problems, or history of clothing. [17]
