His na- tive state is Ohio and he is a graduate of Ohio Northern and Harvard Universities. Before taking UP his professorial work here, he had taught at Harvard, at Miami University, and at Radcliffe College. Mr. Zehmer, a graduate of William and Mary and Columbia, was successively Superintendent of Schools for Dinwiddie County, Virginia, a member of the faculty of William and Mary College and the Uni- versity of North Carolina. Before his appointment to the Deanship of the Slimmer Quarter in 1938 he was Director of the Extension Department. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Theta Delta Chi. Legal Title .' His home is in Leesburg, in northern Virginia. WALTER SHELDON RODMAN 15.A., M.A., SM. He came here in 1910 as Adjutant Professor of Electrical Engineering. In 1933 he YOSC I0 lhf Deanship when Dr. Newcomb became Acting Dean of Iilectrical Engineering. Dean of the Deparlrnenl of Graduate Slurlies Dr. Wilson studied at the College of William and Mary, University of Virginia, and Princeton Uni- versity. He also received an honorary degree ol l,L.D. from William and Mary. In 1937 he was appointed Dean of the Graduate School, following the retirement of Dr. Metcalf. He is a member of Kappa Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa, Colonnade Club, and Raven. ARMISTEAD MASON DOBIE M.A., LL.B., s.J.D. Dean of Ihr' Department of Lafw Dean Dobie is a native Virginian and a graduate of the University. He holds the degree of S.J.D. from Harvard. As practitioner and as teacher he is widely known in legal circles. He is a Phi Gamma Delta and a member of Phi Delta Phi, Theta Kappa Nu, Phi Beta Kappa, Sigma Delta Chi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. He was Dean here from 1932 to 1936, and has been since 1938.
