Where slfy is blue and sea is lnluer, Where floods of sunshine, all day long, Make life a lovely tilting song, Wliere a pure air, but gently fanned, Spreads out across a merry land, And rising almost from the beach Upward the pictured mountains reach, And where the sparlfling waters free Spread out to view a sapphire sea! Here in the Southland, large and red, The sun drops quiclfly into lnedg But ere he sleeps, with fery glance He malfes the golden waters dance And bids a cloud, if such there tae, Put on a colored gown for me.
