1' ' When joseph T. Kingsbury was elected president of the University in 1897, his cam- pus consisted of what was to later become the Salt Lake High School. In 1901 the University was moved to its present site, and by 1910 it boasted of four main struc- tures, now known as the Physical Science, Liberal Arts, Biology, and Home Economics Buildings. The Park Building Was completed just two years before he resigned in 1916. The smooth man of the campus took his girl to the prom in this limousine. Since its completion in 1931, Kingsbury Hall has been used for many purposes aside from its primary function as the campus auditorium. Managed by Gail Plummer, it has housed offices of the speech and drama depart- ments, property and costume shops, various classrooms, and recently, a radio station. 16 Students indulge in a bit of small-talk on the Kingsbury steps.
