FQREWCDRD Tl-IIS, the Utonian, our own college annual- through its pages hopes to record the hap- penings of a scholastic year and thereby to por- tray the significance of what we call Utah Spirit. This spirit had its inception in the ideals and hopes of the pioneer fathers who saw the vision of and laid the foundation for the great com- monwealth and university, which today are ours -it is reflected in the ideals and achievements of the men and Women who are steadily going forth from the gates of our Alma Mater, inspired by her teachings. lt is as indefinable, as infinite as the great influence of the University itself and, try though we may to evaluate it, we cannot, for its wellsprings are immeasurable.
