The object of the organization is to promote among its members a self-taught increasing knowledge of petroleum engineering in all its branches and to instill in the engineers a professional pride for the life work they have chosen. O The membership of the organization has doubled in number during the first two years. This year there are twenty-six members. lt is required for membership that all members be student associates of the American lnstitute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, and that the student has completed fifty or more semester hours in engineering or related sciences. The student must also be in good standing at the University. O lt is expected that the organization will grow considerably in the future since it gives the young engineer many opportunities to meet practicing en- gineers in industry. The club this year conducted a tield trip for its members to the Pitts pool. N t
