Geology is the science of the earth dealing with mineral and rock structures. Geography offers a direct view of weather, soil, and climate and how they affect various Cultures. For the future doctor, scientist, teacher or laboratory technician, an analysis of such organisms proves invaluable in vo- cational preparation. XVithin the depart- ment, the biology major participates in a number of studies: Zoology, botany, embryo- logy, physiology, microbiology, anthropol- ogy, genetics, and bacteriology. Considera- tion is also given to the inter-relationships between organisms and to the nature of live organisms, past and present. Although the biology student focuses mainly on his own Held, he participates in non-scientific courses needed to complete his background within his curriculum.
