P ATHLETES IN 19 Once again making itself the highpoint of the University's athletic year, the basketball season introduced to Rocket fans a new crop of athletes, who not only made for the school its best basketball season with 24 wins and 6 losses, but also started on the way to basketball fame such individuals as ob Gerber, Bart Quinn, Bob Nash and Frank Clemons of the sophomore members. Since basketball lasts through more than three months, it naturally attracts more of the students than do the other sports, and for that reason, coupled with the fact that the Rockets had such a successful season, we feel that this honor of calling them the top athletes of 1940 is theirs rightfully. In the picture on the preceding page are, Front row, Robert Nash, Marshall Carlson, Robert Hayes, Bob Gerber, William Stokes, Pat Hintz, lCaptainl and Frank Clemons.
