THE DEDICA To a man who has given without stint 35 years of his life to better serve: the University and its many interests, this annual is dedicated . . . Dean F. C. Lowry. The interest the Dean has shown in the University publications has won him the respect of those who have been associated with him. Though he has often been known to be utough,i in his policies and ideals, his viewpoints are usually those which are almost unhesitatingly accepted. It will probably be many years before anyone becomes so closely attached with the student publications as the Dean. For many years he has been chairman of the University Publications Council but outside his oHicial capacity he is known to his staff as an easy going conscientious worker, always striving to keep the student and the University in a close relationship. The inHuence of this one man upon the lives of those of us who have had the pleasure to know and work with him cannot be measured.
