Deig, in his eight years as head football coach, has put together a record ot 38 wins, 24 losses, and one tie. Along with this record, Deig has brought to St. Thomas two outright MIAC titles as well as a share in two others. Frank has been a member of the St. Thomas athletic staff since l94O, when he became basketball coach. In 1946, he was appointed Athletic Director and Head Football Coach, two positions he has held ever since. As his assistants, Deig has picked two of his former stars. Funk was an All Conference quarterback for Deig in i947 and Martinka played tor the Tommies under Deig from i947 through l949.
