Nominations are made by petition and require thirty signers. This year Jim Shannon, the 1941 Mr. Tommy' ' proved that a man may be a good scholar and still be a good fellow. With almost as many votes as his eight rivals combined, Jim won with the largest mar- ginal victory in the contest's history.
