The en- lorsement came during the ■ Jept. 13 meeting of that organi- .ation. ■ The motion giving support to II McGovem was: The University of New RHaven Faculty Federation supports George McGovem for President of the United States. Our reas(»is are as follows: By introducing an equitable tax Iscale for all incomes, McGovem will correct the unfair tax load that now falls upon the wage- learner. He will provide useful and eacerul jobs for millions of the low unemployed. He will take prompt steps to !nd inflation and reverse the ' ising cost of living. He will end the war without trying to exact vengeance or maintain a nationally dishonor- able position. He will bring to a majority of Americans the educational ad- vantages now reserved for a privileged minority. He will ensure, for both sexes and all races, equal employment opportunity and equal compensation for equal services. By buying what the nation needs instead of what the Generals demand, he will streamline and strengthen our national defense... He will correct our militarized foreign policy so as to restore world confidence in our world leadership. He will end our national support of foreign dictators and restore to American Goverment the credibility and confidence a great nation should inspire. Senator George McGovern, who sparked the interest and enthusiasm of the college community with his new and revolutionary ideas.
