wmt ten i I a ■SI m i »i SEPTEMBER T::ht:, a call to go back to school. To some it means a new experience, going to college for the first time. To others, it signifies their last September in school. And yet, to others, it simply means two more days a week when they won ' t be home with the family be- cause they ' re still trying to get their degree at night. The month brings with it orientation for the freshmen, and the problem for some of getting adjusted to the dorm. There is also the all-school continued on page 19 D. C. continued from page 19 The present student government ad- ministration began its second term in of- fice, with Bill Bazilchuk as president, and Bruce Gogel as its vice-president, along with Bill Bruce as its capable treasurer. The Day Student Government Lecture Committee began its series of lectures with Christine Jorgensen, the woman who in 1952 made international head- lines when she was surgically trans- formed from a man. She said to the more than 500 present at the lecture, I have found the oldest gift in Heaven — to be myself. The soccer team also began its season, a season that would eventually lead the team to an NCAA tournament berth. However, perhaps the most important thing to happen in September was the formation of the Presidential Search Committee under the leadership of Dr. Gwendolyn Jensen.
