Always steady, he averaged 9.0 re- bounds and l3.8 points per game. Besides providing a potent scoring threat, he was also the RebeI's leading defensive ace. Jerry was named NSU's Most Inspirational Player at the award's banquet at the end of the year.

HBQ JohnH,John'happ,64ooh7 and 210 pounds,became aHerone season at NSU, one of the most sought-after college players on the West Coast by professional scouts. Unfortunately for the Rebels, the lure of the pros saw him signing a contract with the National Basketball Asso- ciation in mid-May. During his brief, but outstanding career at NSU, John led the team in rebounding with an 11.4 average, and was second in scoring with a fine 21.0. He was named to the All-Tournament team at the NCAA West Coast Regionals, and at the end of the season was honored as the RebeI's Most Valuable Player. TRAPP
