Alumni and University women banded together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the admission of women to the University. Working with the theme Year of the Tigress, they sought to bring to light some of the history and traditions concerning the first Normal School teachers and the life they led during 1867. The accomplishments of yesterdays women and the goals of today's coeds were recognized. Reminders of the past were on display throughout the campus, and lectures and a special convocation were highlights of the celebra- tion.
