governor com s to mizzou Vvien oofiticians meet on Jesse steps it's all wide grins, eager looks and firm handshakes. The campus poiticos on the right are Big Tom Laco, George lVlorgan, and Farrnin' Frank Sallee. The other gent is the Governor on his tour of the University. The lovely lassies at the Unlversity's new freshman women's dorm bring a reminiscent twinkle to the eyes of Governor Smith. The girls seemed pleazed with the governor's leafy hat, the latest in chapeau styles from Paris. Paris, llllissouri, that is. 'What hath God wrought, thinks the governor as he looks over a ccpy of the Student on his visit o Nlizzou. S.G.A. president Tom Laco, next to the Governor winces, as new S.G.A. l'Veep George Morgan imitates a smiling hatrack. lVIissouri's quiet quarterback and campus wheel, decorated with an Nl sweater and flanked by Tom Laco and Chauncey Simpson en- tertains the Governor with tales of sweatsocks and blood and g'ory on the bestriped football field.

Life is hard on some of the poor students, but they really needn't worry too much, for the ever-faithful SGA has a division to look after them-the Student Welfare Division. The leery-eyed gent in the middle is Chairman Mike Capes. The work of the SGA covered many fields and necessi- tated many workers, for many menial tasks.
