Established in 1896, the Col- lege has constantly maintained a nonsectarian attitude in its ecl- ucational and intellectual policy. The College of Arts and Sci- ence lost a great man when Dean of Students Eranla E. Stephens retired this year. Dean Elmer Ellis novv heads the Col- lege with the help of Assistant Dean William E. English. The largest division of the University, almost every student must come under its jurisdiction hefore going into their special fields.
